Turns out the lid caused all the evaporated water to pool up inside the frame. So I sealed all that area off and made more escape routes for evaporation to exit the tank without getting into the frame. 60 gallons of the water is already cycled water and then 20 will be RO water. So I’ll move the filters back to this tank and then just gotta keep and eye on the parameters.

We have a pet smart that has monthly meetings in their store for the cities group.
And the staff is on groups, so if they don't have an answer, they will ask. I got two fish from PetSmart over two years ago and they are big and healthy no problems, I have also got fish from a local fish store and they died the next day, so know your fish before you buy them look close for problems it will save you bunches.
I goto Petco! My son is a manager and has been there for 4 yrs. He has taken the classes on products and fish keeping. Most times if U ask for the most experienced employee in the department U will get the right help. Remember that all stores hire Summer and Holiday help. Like all things U need to find the one with the gift of experience!
I'm really getting into the pet valu in eastgate they carry a little bit more exotic fish than most chain stores , petsmart has better supplies but basic fish and as someone mentioned the dollar per gallon sale is great at petco. Pet valu has ordered in for me but it's a pain in the ass. Ours usually only carries guromies guppies plecos and gold fish so it's usually a waste of time looking for something different that I can take home right then and see before buying.
$1 per gallon sale! My closest pet supplies plus seems to carry good stock of fish and plants and they always seem to be on sale. I really like my local Petco. The fish dude Don is really informed and kind to the fish. The rest of the staff are also pretty funny. Dude has brought me plants from his own tanks. Petco,donates 1% of all marine animal sales to support marine aquaculture.pets in the classroom giver free habitats for birds ,reptiles,a 10 gal setup to teachers.my store adopted over 100 dogs and cats last year.we take unwanted reptiles small animals etc and adopt them out.Animals surrendered to us are never sold ,only adopted out and the fee is donated to rescues.The Petco foundation gives millions every year to rescues low cost spay and nurture programs.
Petco, Petsmart, blah, blah, just a name !! The corporate office may control alot of whats going on, but I'm lucky enough to have people in both the stores near me that actually know whats up, and genuinely care about the fish they sell !! The woman that runs the aquatic section of petco was so stressed out about too many fish coming in, and really going the extra mile to make sure all her tanks were good, not overstocked , no fighting, ect... That level of care means more to me than the name outside !
This is what I mean. Our local stores take pics and share on a local group. The staff rocks. And I tried to make this post so people can appreciate the ones who try. Pets at Home is our big brand pet shop in the UK and I have to say they are fantastic. Fish have always been great quality (I've tried many places and they are by far the best), tanks are spotless, staff have good knowledge. I've seen videos of American stores with Bettas in little cups and overcrowded tanks etc, I don't think they are mass produced here as much as in the US maybe.
