Taking care of the gold gourami is quite easy. They can grow up to 6 inches long at full size. The trick is to have a fish that is a little more aggressive than the gold gourami because then it will back down and show very little aggression. If your only keeping them with other gourami fish then they will probably be the most aggressive.
I'm not that guy, but you need to treat the whole tank. I use Rid Ich and it's worked great for me. Kind of a pain to change the water as much as they say, but worth it. Read the instructions. Take out carbon in your filters if you use meds, and also get all your snails out before you use it.

It spreads like crazy. I looked for UK ich remedies and they mostly referred to ich as "white spot" or "whitespot" there...same thing. Is there a fish store by you that could tell you a good med? Usually you need a "copper-based" med for this. raise your temp to at least 84 , slowly . then clean your gravel real good, ich can live in gravel or sand . do at least a 30% water change keeping the temp up . . you can use medicine but the heat is the most important that shortens the life of the ich . some people use salt i don't cause i have a lot of scales fish and keep your fingers crossed . good luck https://www.facebook.com/Gold-Gourami...
